Faithful listeners are lighting up the internet with posts on Twitter, Facebook and anywhere else they can. Some are offering condolences and well-wishes to the staff and employees, others are reminiscing on their favorite WABB memories.

It was when Don McLean's "American Pie" came over the airwaves that this faithful listener teared up and let the waterworks flow. This isn't just about a radio station going off the air. This is about the end of an era, the change of the guard, the signs of the times.
Nothing lasts forever and the only thing in life that is constant is change.
WABB was the voice of my generation. And though it is now gone, it will live on in our hearts forever.
Thank you, Bernie. Thank you, WABB.
We appreciate all you have done, and you will be missed.
